Kristal & Denis’ Wedding at Yarra Ranges Estate
Kristal and Denis planned a wedding that felt completely true to who they are, warm, grounded, and deeply connected to nature. Their styling featured earthy, natural tones with Australian native flowers and foliage, complemented by wooden rounds, soft candlelight, and delicate bud vases. All of it tied seamlessly into the beautiful bushland surrounding their venue, making the entire day feel like an extension of the landscape itself.
As their Melbourne wedding photographer, I had the privilege of documenting a love story that began almost a decade ago. Kristal and Denis first met on Tinder, exchanged messages for a while, and then decided to meet in person. They still laugh about how long ago it was, they can’t even remember who asked who out — but they clearly remember the connection. Their first date at Rococo’s in Hawthorn was the beginning of something real, a spark that quickly grew into a steady, enduring partnership.
For them, marriage isn’t a transformation but a milestone, a celebration of the relationship they’ve already nurtured with patience, loyalty, and humour. As they beautifully put it, they already feel “married,” and now they simply have the paperwork to match.
Their wedding day reflected exactly that: authentic, intimate, and rooted in everything that has shaped their journey. Scroll below to see the photos from Kristal & Denis’ celebration, a natural, heartfelt story captured among the trees, where their next chapter begins.
